Paul Madeline (October 7, 1863 – February 12, 1920) was a French Post-Impressionist painter known for his captivating landscapes and village scenes, often featuring the Creuse River and the picturesque streets of Paris. Born in Paris, France, in 1863, Madeline displayed an early aptitude for art and received training at the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts under Jules Achille Noël and Jean-Léon Gérôme.

Madeline's artistic development was influenced by the Impressionist movement, and his work shows a similar interest in light, color, and the fleeting effects of nature. However, Madeline retained a more traditional approach to painting, with a focus on composition and drawing.
