Martinus Rørbye (1803–1848) was a Danish Golden Age painter renowned for his contributions to the landscape and genre painting movements in 19th-century Denmark. Born in Copenhagen, Rørbye displayed artistic talent from an early age and went on to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
