Irving Ramsey Wiles (1861–1948) was an American painter known for his portraits, genre scenes, and landscapes. Born on June 8, 1861, in Utica, New York, Wiles came from a family with artistic inclinations, and he went on to become a prominent figure in the American art scene during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Wiles studied at the Art Students League in New York City and later under renowned artists such as William Merritt Chase and Émile Carolus-Duran in Paris.
