Charles Landelle (1821–1908) was a French Academic painter known for his romantic and exotic compositions that often featured captivating depictions of women. Born in Laval, France, Landelle studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he honed his skills under the guidance of renowned artists of the time.

Landelle's artistic style was characterized by a fusion of Romanticism and Orientalism. He was particularly drawn to themes that evoked a sense of mystery and sensuality.
