Alfred Wahlberg (1834–1906) was a Swedish painter known for his luminous and atmospheric landscapes, seascapes, and cityscapes. Born on October 15, 1834, in Stockholm, Sweden, Wahlberg became a prominent figure in the Swedish art scene during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Wahlberg's artistic talent was evident early in his life, and he received formal training at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. He later continued his studies in Düsseldorf, Germany, under the tutelage of Andreas Achenbach, a prominent landscape painter of the Düsseldorf School.

Inspired by the natural beauty of his homeland, Wahlberg's paintings often depicted the Swedish landscape in various seasons and weather conditions. His mastery of light and color, combined with a keen eye for detail, allowed him to create evocative scenes that captured the essence of the Nordic environment.
